Discover the charming town of Nule, nestled in the province of Sassari in the historic region of Goceano. With a population of approximately 1,368 inhabitants, this picturesque destination is perched on the edge of the Buddusò plateau, standing at an elevation of about 700 meters above sea level.
Nule boasts a rich history dating back to ancient times, having been inhabited since the pre-Nuragic and Nuragic eras. The area is dotted with giant tombs and nuraghi that bear witness to human presence in ancient times. During the medieval period, the town was part of the Judicate of Torres, situated within the curatorship of Monte Acuto.
Following the fall of the judicature in 1259, Nule came under the rule of the Doria family and later under the Judicate of Arborea. From 1350 onwards, the entire area became part of Aragonese dominion. In the 18th century, the town was included in the duchy of Monte Acuto, a fiefdom held by Tellez-Giron di Alcantara.
