Sagama’s territory has always been famous for its fertility, shady forests, and crystal-clear water sources, attracting mushroom enthusiasts during the autumn season.

In the heart of the village stands the nuraghe Muristene, a testament to human presence since prehistoric times. The historic center revolves around the famous ‘treasure of Sagama,’ namely the parish church dedicated to Archangel Gabriel and built in 1604.

You can still spot remnants of an ancient pagan sanctuary near the seventeenth-century church, adding charm and mystery to this location.

Inside the church, admire a precious wooden statue of the saint, 18th-century paintings, a pulpit from the 17th century, and wooden altars that narrate centuries of devotion and sacred art.
