Introducing Novella and Gianluca, a dynamic duo of young visionaries hailing from the enchanting lands of Sardinia. Fueled by an unwavering love for our heritage, we pour our dedication, expertise, and heart into cultivating exceptional wines that embody the essence of Sardinia.
Our Journey: Rooted in a legacy of passion for the land, our father Giuseppe Mannazzu, a revered figure in construction and farming near Berchiddeddu, instilled in us a deep respect for nature. His vision led to the establishment of a cutting-edge vineyard with over 80,000 handpicked vines under the guidance of a seasoned winemaker. Today, this legacy is carried forward by us – Novella and Gianluca.
The Landscape: Nestled in the idyllic region of Gallura in northeastern Sardinia lies our prized possession – CONCA DI OLEVÀ. Spanning across 12 hectares at an altitude of 300 meters near “Sa Conca,” our vineyard is embraced by panoramic mountains that soar over 800 meters above sea level. Here, over 80,000 meticulously nurtured vines thrive on nutrient-rich soil, yielding exquisite white and red wines synonymous with Sardinian excellence.
The Vineyard: Embark on a journey just 1 km away from Berchiddeddu towards “Sa Castanza” to discover our vineyard perched atop a hill at 300 meters altitude. Encompassing around 12 hectares with granitic soil unique to the region, we cultivate renowned Vermentino di Gallura whites alongside captivating reds crafted from Cannonau, Sangiovese, Cagnulari, Muristellu, Carignano, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes using advanced high bush training systems.
- Experience uninterrupted harvests through our state-of-the-art irrigation system featuring polyethylene pipes and self-compensating drippers.
- A water reservoir boasting 10,000 cubic meters ensures optimal irrigation facilitated by gravity-fed operations from the highest point.
- In times of prolonged droughts affecting water supply in the reservoir, three dedicated wells stand ready as reliable backup sources.
The Cellar: Step inside our cellar adorned with stainless steel containers where white wines undergo a meticulous fermentation process on lees for 2-4 months before refinement in bottles for an additional 1-2 months. Red wines mature gracefully in stainless steel containers for 6-12 months on lees followed by further aging in bottles for 2-6 months. With an annual production yielding around 25,000 bottles annually of exquisite Sardinian wine awaiting your indulgence.
