• Augusto conducted a single honey harvest annually, eschewing the typical beekeeper attire and opting for a simple headscarf instead.
• His daughter Maria, captivated by her father’s dedication, delved into beekeeping at the tender age of twelve. Over time, she expanded the apiary operations and began distributing honey to close-knit circles of relatives and friends.

In 1969, Maria transitioned her beloved pastime into a full-fledged profession. Investing in state-of-the-art beehives and equipment, she elevated herself to the status of a professional beekeeper. Today, our company carries forward this legacy by harmonizing age-old traditions with contemporary beekeeping techniques.

In 1996, Maria embarked on a new venture by crafting artisanal liqueurs under the mentorship of her mother. The formulation of Mirto liqueur stood as a testament to their combined mastery in the art.

By the dawn of 2000, Mie.li.ca. Aresu srl emerged as the cornerstone overseeing all facets of production, packaging, and distribution of their exquisite offerings. Our steadfast dedication to excellence remains unwavering in honor of our forebears’ enduring commitment.
