Sedilesu Giuseppe
Mamoiada
Via Vittorio Emanuele II, 64 Mamoiada (Nuoro) , 08024 NU
The legacy of winemaking in the Sedilesu family traces back to Giuseppe and Grazia, who purchased their first hectare of vineyard back in the 1970s. Today, the family-run winery is situated in Mamoiada, a charming town nestled in Barbagia at the core of Sardinia.
The cellar continues to uphold traditional methods in cultivating vineyards and crafting wines.
Spanning across hills in Mamoiada, the vineyards thrive at elevations ranging from 650 to 850 meters above sea level on granitic decomposing soil, creating an ideal environment for the Cannonau grape.
At the winery, Cannonau dominates the vineyard landscape with small sections dedicated to Granazza (Granatza), a native white grape variety that has been meticulously vinified since 2002, both with and without maceration.
Embracing organic farming practices throughout viticulture and winemaking, natural fermentations are employed in the cellar to preserve the distinctive essence of Cannonau and Granazza wines, showcasing their unique terroir. The winery holds an official organic certification and yields around 100,000 bottles annually.
