Wine: Vernaccia di Oristano D.O.C. -… | Vernaccia di Oristano D.O.C. – Riserva.
Cellar: Azienda Agricola Francesco Atzori
Vernaccia di Oristano D.O.C. is a white wine with Controlled Designation of Origin obtained from Vernaccia grapes.
- It has a golden color tending towards amber, becoming more pronounced with aging.
- The aroma is intense and persistent, fine, ethereal, and floral, with clear hints of almonds and as it ages, toasted hazelnuts.
- The taste is very intense and persistent, dry, warm, quite soft, and balanced.
It complements dishes lacking in aromas and less flavorful and neutral foods, including marinated dishes such as white meats (especially veal, chicken, and lamb).
It is the only wine that can counteract the “violent” flavors of bottarga (dried grey mullet roe); with its particular softness, it pairs well with spicy and aged cheeses. Outside meals, it is a wine for “meditation” that can satisfy even the most demanding palates. Serve at a temperature of 16°C in a wide glass.
