Arrubiu Wine from Isola dei Nuraghi IGT

Arrubiu is a red wine from Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, made from 50% Cannonau and 50% Carignano grapes.

The grapes are grown in vineyards trained with spurred cordons, with a planting density of 5000 plants per hectare and a yield of 70 q/ha. They are located on sub-hillside terrain with schist-clay soils rich in skeleton and a dry climate.

The wine is produced through red vinification at controlled temperatures, with pump-overs every 6 hours for 8 to 10 days.

Arrubiu Isola dei Nuraghi IGT has a ruby red color with a vinous aroma, intense yet delicate and not overpowering, typical of the grape varieties, with notes of red fruit.

On the palate, it is dry, slightly tannic, with good acidity and persistence.

It pairs well with traditional Sardinian dishes, roasts, game meats, and medium-aged cheeses.

This wine is best enjoyed young but can also benefit from some bottle aging.
