KASTIÂ • ADAGIO

  • The name, inspired by musical terms, not only signifies harmony and Italianity but also indicates how it should be enjoyed. It is a Typical Geographic Indication wine from Sardinia, the result of a skillful blend of Carignano grapes, refined with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, all produced in the vineyards owned by Soc. Parco di Castiadas located in the municipality of Castiadas near the “S’acqua Callenti” springs at the borders of the Regional Park of Sette Fratelli. A rich and structured wine, warm and characterized by original marine scents and Mediterranean essences. Fragrant, corrosive suitable for aging. It needs to be oxygenated beforehand. It is a wine for meditation but at the same time pairs perfectly with any food.

KASTIÂ • THE ORIGINS

  • The natural context where the vineyards producing Kastià grapes are nestled is extraordinary, surrounded by forests made up of Mediterranean plant essences, located near the sea from which rich breezes come; sheltered from cold northern winds thanks to the mountains rising a thousand meters high creating an exceptional microclimate for grape cultivation. The sandy soil derived from granitic decomposition, continuous care of the vineyards, pruning of vines to limit production to no more than 50 per hectare, hand-picking using small ventilated containers to keep grape berries intact, and immediate pressing allow obtaining a healthy product that does not require any restorative intervention in the cellar. The wines obtained are continuously analyzed by the Regional Chemical Laboratory of Cagliari proving to be perfect in terms of biochemistry and healthiness as well as pleasing on the palate.
