Discover Argia Rosso Wine:

  • Argia Rosso is a red wine crafted from a selection of indigenous grapes grown in the hills of Sarcidano near Nurri.
  • The vineyard covers about 0.5 hectares in Lattias, situated on a southwest-facing slope.

The soil, located at an altitude of approximately 450 meters above sea level, consists of a mix of marly (sedimentary rocks) and calcareous (sedimentary rocks with calcium carbonate).

The vines are grown in the traditional Latin bush style, not irrigated, with branches measuring 30-40 cm.

The grape harvest typically takes place around the last week of September, meticulously handpicked and placed in crates.

The slightly overripe grapes undergo destemming and pressing before a red fermentation process with skin maceration lasting approximately 15 days. Manual punch-downs, pump-overs, and rack-and-returns are carried out during this period. The wine is then stored in stainless steel tanks and bottled by June following the harvest.

Argia Rosso displays a ruby red color with violet reflections, showcasing a rich concentration of pigments that make it opaque. On the nose, ripe fruit notes like plum and cherry jam dominate, followed by hints of Mediterranean herbs such as helichrysum, thyme, and wild laurel. A subtle spiciness adds elegance to the wine. It presents a well-structured palate with velvety tannins and balanced acidity that enhances the fruity-balsamic aromas.

Serve Argia Rosso at a temperature between 16-18°C for optimal enjoyment.
