Located at the foothills of the Gocèano hills, Bono serves as an excellent hub for exploring the expansive vineyards of the region and indulging in the finest local wines.
At the heart of the town stands the church of San Michele Arcangelo, a place steeped in history and mystery. The church’s clock is a marvel, powered by 4 cannonballs that harken back to the 1796 siege.
Every year on August 31st, Bono hosts a traditional festival honoring its past heroism. During this event, the largest pumpkin from the fields is awarded to the winner of a horse race, ironically symbolizing the courage of the defeated army.
