A Dive into the Past
- The first traces of human settlements in Tadasuni date back to the Neolithic and Nuragic periods, with the presence of striking nuraghi in the surrounding area.
- During the Judicature era, Sardinia was divided into four autonomous kingdoms known as judicatures. Tadasuni was part of the curatorship of Guilcier or Gilciber, which later became Ozier Real.
A History of Betrayals and Conquests
- During the Aragonese conquest in 1416, all of Gilciber and the surrounding territories were granted as a fiefdom to Valore di Ligia. However, this Arborean was betrayed by the local inhabitants along with his son Bernardo when they tried to take possession of the fiefdom at Zuri.
- Over the following centuries, the fiefdom passed through different noble families until it became part of the demesne of the Kingdom of Sardinia in 1726.
The Decline of Feudalism and the Emergence of a Free Municipality
- In 1839, with the abolition of feudalism, Tadasuni was redeemed from its last feudatories, thus becoming a free municipality.
- The local linguistic influence can be found in the variant of Sardinian spoken in Tadasuni belonging to Limba de mesania.
