Tenuta Muscazega
Luras

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscape of the Colli del Monte Limbara, where a dream vineyard comes to life against a backdrop of pastel colors – pink, violet, gray – that accentuate the sharp granite rocks as they change hues with the shifting light.
Experience a play of light and shadow, where twisted cork oaks seem to dance among meadows and hayfields, ancient olive trees bent by the Maestrale wind, dry stone walls interrupted by clusters of strawberry trees, blackberries, holly, figs… scents of Mediterranean maquis, myrtle, juniper… under a wild pear tree, a horse grazes alongside a donkey… blue thistle flowers… high above, a falcon soars through the sky.
Located amidst this enchanting nature is the historic “MUSCAZEGA” Estate nestled in the heart of Gallura, northeast Sardinia, between the towns of Luras, Nuchis and Tempio Pausania. The Estate spans approximately forty hectares and is surrounded by the Minnisio and San Paolo streams crossed by a charming Roman bridge “Ponte Nughes”!
The Sardinian name “muscazega” (meaning “blind fly”) now lends its name to the Nebbiolo I.G.T. wine produced here in purity along with its Vermentino D.O.C.G.
The ancient manor house or Stazzu Gallurese dates back to the early 1800s, as do the old stables. In 2006, the owner took over its management and passionately renovated it into a Winery paying homage to this granitic land where Nebbiolo I.G.T. vines imported from Piedmont about 200 years ago have found ideal soil to enhance all their qualities. Also renowned for Vermentino D.O.C.G., universally recognized for being Sardinia’s purest and most original white wine.
