Discover Li Sureddi Red Wine from Romangia IGP
Li Sureddi is a red wine from Romangia IGP made from Retagliadu nieddu grapes, an ancient clone of Cannonau.
The grapes are grown in vineyards on limestone soil, rich in fossils with a strong presence of various marls and Miocene conglomerates.
Vinification Process:
- 50% destemmed grapes, 50% soft pressing.
- Spontaneous fermentation on the skins without selected yeasts at a temperature of 30-32 °C for 3 to 7 days.
- Unfiltered, not clarified. Small additions of sulfites before bottling.
This wine is vibrant and unique with each vintage. It may develop a natural deposit in the bottle over time. Store the bottle at a temperature of 12-15 °C for optimal aging conditions without alterations.
In our dialect, “Li sureddi” means “The sisters,” representing Alessia and Noemi Manca who continue the family project of recovering and preserving ancient clones in our sub-area Romangia.
Li sureddi red wine is a blend of Retagliadu nieddu, an ancient clone of Cannonau, sourced from five different vineyards in Badde pira, located on the gentle hills overlooking the sea in the Gulf of Asinara in Sardinia.
Around 2500 bottles were produced in the 2017 vintage with an alcohol content of 15% Vol.
