Myrtle is a key component of the Mediterranean scrubland, and the foundation for one of the most typical Sardinian liqueurs. Through infusion of its berries, harvested in December, the classic myrtle is obtained – strong and fragrant, with a reddish-purple color that delights both the eyes and the palate. Served chilled, it complements Sardinian sweets like gueffus, amaretti, and pardulas, but can also be wonderfully paired with any dessert.
