Experience the Essence of Mediterranean Tradition with Mirto Liquor
The Mirto “recipe of tradition” embodies the taste, aroma, and texture of homemade liquor, truly bringing out its Mediterranean character. We recommend enjoying it at a temperature of 2-4 °C.
The Sardinian Mirto represents a traditional liqueur, with its unique flavor and color derived from the berries of the myrtle plant, “Myrtus communis”. The organoleptic characteristics are found in the grape skins that give color to the liquor, while tannins in the pulp provide an astringent taste and volatile compounds that give the liquor its exclusive flavor.
Due to its properties, Mirto is considered a digestive and is best consumed after a meal, although it is often enjoyed as an aperitif. The optimal way to savor it is chilled, poured from bottles stored in the freezer.
