Monica di Sardegna is a red wine with a Controlled Designation of Origin obtained from Monica grapes.

The Monica red grape variety is one of the oldest Sardinian grape varieties. It has red berries and is cultivated in deep and moderately calcareous soils, well-exposed to the sun, where it best expresses its peculiar characteristics. It is used alone to obtain the homonymous DOC wine or, more often, combined with other local varieties to produce excellent wines with fantasy names or geographical indications. Monica is a DOC wine meant to be enjoyed relatively young to fully appreciate its characteristic aroma.

This ruby red wine tends towards garnet, with an intense aroma of red fruit jam, aromatic herbs, fruity notes, and a vinous touch. On the palate, it is dry with a slight acidity, savory, good softness, and moderate body. It pairs perfectly with soups and dishes based on white and red meats. Serve at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
