Wine: Moscadeddu | I.G.T. – Romangia.
Cellar: Tenute Dettori
Moscadeddu: A white wine with a Typical Geographic Indication – Romangia, made from Moscato di Sorso-Sennori grapes.
Origin of the wine: I have never liked moscatos that are too “heavy”, caramelized, or cloying. I prefer to focus on refinement and elegance. On “lightness”. This led to the decision to work early on the grapes. An unusual Moscato, just the way I like it.
How to enjoy it: Best served at around 12°C. It is interesting to follow its oxidative evolution. Excellent with raw seafood and even with baked prawns. All our wines need time, once opened, to express themselves.
Glass: Use a large Tulip glass. Let the bottle rest after transportation. The wine has not been clarified or filtered. Any residues are natural.
Production process: The grapes were handpicked and transported in crates inside our Fiat 100 Refrigerated Truck as always. The grapes were only destemmed and macerated for two days at a controlled temperature. Decantation and maturation took place in small cement tanks until bottling in May/June. The wine was neither clarified nor filtered nor stabilized. Bottled by hand. Once bottled, the wine is matured in a warehouse at a strictly controlled temperature.
