Cellar: Cantine di Orgosolo
Neale is a Cannonau di Sardegna DOC red wine, made from 85% Cannonau grapes and 15% Bovale.
The grapes are sourced from the valleys of Locoe and Sorasi, as well as the high lands of “Sa Lacana” in the territory of Orgosolo. These small vineyards, nestled on gentle hills, are cultivated directly by the members and require minimal pesticide interventions due to the pristine location.
The hand-picked grapes are immediately taken to the cellar after harvesting, where they undergo maceration for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature, with pumping over and punching down. The aging process takes place in steel containers for approximately 6 months, followed by a period of bottle aging before being released for sale.
This wine displays a ruby red color, evolving towards garnet over time. It offers clear scents of tobacco and quinine. On the palate, it is juicy with a crisp fruity flavor. The tannins are refined, leading to a tense and flavorful finish.
