Experience Rafià Vermentino from Sardinia DOC
Discover the newest addition to the Santa Maria la Palma winery in Alghero – Rafià. This Vermentino from Sardinia carries a Controlled Designation of Origin, crafted from Vermentino grapes fermented in 500-liter oak barrels.
- The Vermentino grapes are handpicked and chilled close to zero degrees before pressing to extract all the aromas.
- After settling for six hours, the must undergoes controlled fermentation at 13°C in steel tanks.
- Following this, the must ferments in 500-liter oak barrels for ten days with bâtonnage, manual stirring of lees, then bottle-ages for around four months.
Rafià Vermentino presents a straw yellow color with golden highlights. The aroma is intense, starting with floral notes leading to hints of fruit, orange peel, lemon, and a subtle spicy finish.
On the palate, it is savory with a delicate sweetness upfront. It has volume in the middle of the mouth and a long, persistent finish.
Serve Rafià Vermentino at 12-15°C for optimal enjoyment. The alcohol content is 13.5% vol., making it a delightful choice for any occasion.
