Rosso Smeraldo | Colli del Limbara I.G.T.

Rosso Smeraldo Wine from Colli del Limbara IGT is a red wine made from Carignano 50-60%, Merlot 15%, Cabernet Sauvignon 15%, Cabernet Franc 10%, Muristellu 5%, and Sangiovese Grosso 5%.

The grapes are grown in vineyards with granitic decomposition cultivated using Guyot and modified bush vines located in Berchidda on Mount Acuto in Sardegna, with a yield of 6800 bottles per hectare.

The climate is typical of the Mediterranean region, characterized by hot and dry summers, as well as mild and rainy winters.

The harvest is done manually starting in September. The grapes are gently pressed to preserve fragrance and aromas, then fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine is left in contact with its fine lees for several months before bottling. All red grapes are vinified separately and blended in May.

Rosso Smeraldo Colli del Limbara IGT has an amaranth red color.

On the nose, it is elegant, intense, and fairly persistent, offering hints of plum, blueberries, red fruit, graphite, and medicinal herbs.

It is warm and intense on the palate, reminiscent of red fruit with a long aromatic finish featuring hints of myrtle and a subtle licorice note.

Rosso Smeraldo pairs well with grilled red meat, wild boar, goat dishes, spicy foods, and semi-mature cheeses.

Serve at a temperature of 18°C for optimal enjoyment.
