RossoSassu is a Cannonau di Sardegna DOC red wine made exclusively from Cannonau grapes, produced by the Vini Sassu winery in Luras.
The Cannonau grapes are sourced from vineyards near Lake Liscia, at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level in the territory of Luras.
The vineyards grow on clayey soil with granitic disintegration, yielding an average of 40 quintals per hectare.
The harvest takes place once the grapes have reached optimal ripeness, strictly by hand during the early hours of the morning in the first ten days of October.
Winemaking: maceration with skins at a temperature of 20°C in stainless steel tanks for about 23 days and aging in bottle for 4 months.
RossoSassu Cannonau di Sardegna DOC presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, notes of fresh red fruit, blackberry, black cherry, and raspberry are perceived.
On the palate, it is soft, engaging, with hints of red fruit and good persistence.
