Wine: Terra e Mare | Colli del Limbara I.G.T.
Cellar: Unmaredivino
Terra e Mare Red Wine from Colli del Limbara IGT is a blend of Muristellu 15-20%, Merlot 15-20%, Sangiovese Grosso 60-70%, and Cabernet Sauvignon 5%.
The vineyards are located in Berchidda, in the Limbara Region at Monte Acuto in Sardinia on granitic decomposing soil, trained with guyot and modified bush vines, yielding 5100 bottles per hectare.
The harvest is done manually starting in September. The grapes are gently pressed to preserve fragrance and aromas, then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Various complete pump-overs and open-air punch-downs are performed during the maceration period of 14-18 days. The wine is left in contact with its lees for several months before bottling. All red grapes are vinified separately and blended between May and August of the following year.
Terra e Mare Red Wine from Colli del Limbara IGT presents a garnet red color with fruity aromas of small red fruits like raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and currant, floral notes of violet, and a hint of licorice spiciness. It is soft, fresh, persistent, and rightly savory on the palate.
Perfectly paired with braised red meats with mushrooms or olives, baked dishes with grilled vegetables, and medium-aged cheeses.
Serve at a temperature of 13°C.
