Discover Uras Red Wine:
- Uras is a red wine crafted from Monica, Cannonau, Girò, and Muristellu grapes sourced from the vineyards of Sa Sedda, Pardu, and Cresia in Mandrolisai.
The vineyards, cultivated with bush-trained vines, thrive on white granite decomposing soils at an altitude of 520 meters above sea level. With a planting density of 4000 vines per hectare, the yield is 35 quintals per hectare.
Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks and wooden truncated cone vats. The wine then matures in oak barriques for twelve months.
The current production stands at 2300 bottles.
Our identity is our story. Nestled near Sorgono, at the geographical heart of Sardinia, atop the Sa Sedda hill stands my eighty-year-old vineyard across Pardu and Cresia on white granite soils. The ancient grape varieties of Mandrolisai – Cannonau, Monica, and Muristeddu – yield half a kilo of grapes per plant. I follow nature’s course just as my grandfather and father did before me. This is how grapes transform into wine: patiently evolving alongside our lives.
