One of the most well-known red grape varieties on the island is cultivated at Tenute Sella & Mosca in the Southeast quadrant, exposed to the Grecale winds. It has a distinct aroma with a pronounced violet bouquet. The taste is full, robust, and dry. It pairs well with red meats, roasted and stewed dishes, game meats, and strong cheeses.
