Rosato Wine from Alghero DOC
The Rosato wine is a product of the Sella&Mosca Estate in Alghero DOC, crafted from a blend of indigenous grape varieties and Sangiovese sourced from vineyards in the Alghero region.
Vineyard Cultivation
- Grown using Cordone speronato – Pergola sarda method
- Planting density of 2551 – 4000 vines per hectare
- Average age of the vines is 20 years
Winemaking Process
- Rapid pressing and cold static decantation
- Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of around 18°C
- Short aging period in stainless steel tanks
Tasting Notes
The Rosato Alghero DOC displays a delicate pink hue with aromas of rose petals and raspberries, complemented by citrus and marine notes. On the palate, it is crisp, fresh, and delicate with a vinous character, good structure, and a pleasant finish.
It has an alcohol content of 11.5% Vol., making it a light and enjoyable wine to savor.
