Lu Nieddu Red Wine: A unique Colli del Limbara IGT red wine crafted from six typical grapes of the high Gallura region – Cannonau, Caricaggiola, Pascale, Dolcetto, Barbera, and Cabernet Franc.
The grapes are sourced from an eighty-year-old vineyard, often marked by early ripening that slightly withers on the plant before harvesting. They are handpicked usually during the first week of October.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for twelve months in French Barriques and spends another six months in barrels before being released for sale.
- Less than 2000 bottles are produced each vintage.
It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature of 16-18°C.
