Discover Murru Wine:
- Murru is a red wine made from pure Monica grapes, harvested from the vineyards of Pischina and Bau Perdosu in Mandrolisai.
- The vineyards, grown as bush vines, are situated on white granite decomposing soils at 480 meters above sea level. With a planting density of 4000 vines per hectare, it yields 35 quintals per hectare.
- Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks and wooden truncated cone vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barriques.
- Only 1100 bottles of Murru are produced, making it an exclusive find.
Our Story in Every Bottle:
Nestled near Sorgono, at the geographical heart of Sardinia, we cultivate three vineyard parcels. The first at Bau Perdosu, planted with bush vines by Tziu Maureddu Carta around seventy years ago. The other two at Pischina, featuring mostly century-old vines, facing east and southeast, showcasing classic Mandrolisai varieties with very low yields. The soils here are rich in white granite. This is where grapes transform into wine, a process that patiently accompanies our lives over time.
