Experience the exquisite Su Nighele red wine, an IGT Isola dei Nuraghi creation made from traditional red grapes grown in the Oddoene Valley in Dorgali.

Vineyards and Winemaking Process

  • The vineyards, aged 36 years, thrive on a mix of granitic and calcareous soil erosion.
  • The grapes are meticulously handpicked and carefully placed in crates. Upon reaching the cellar, they are swiftly crushed and destemmed after harvest.
  • The grape must ferments naturally with indigenous yeasts in contact with the skins for 20 days, undergoing regular punch-downs without temperature control until all sugars are fully consumed.
  • Following a gentle pressing with a manual press post-fermentation, the wine matures in 500-liter oak tonneaux to undergo malolactic fermentation.

Aging Process

  • The wine ages for 12 months in Austrian oak tonneaux, followed by an additional 9 months in stainless steel before bottling without clarification or filtration. It further matures for 2 months in the bottle before release.
